There’s no denying that 2024 has been a long and difficult year. Before
our team logs off for the holidays, I wanted to personally say thank
you, John.

Everyone at Justice Democrats is extremely grateful for the grassroots
support that makes our work possible and for your shared commitment to
building a better future together, even during these uncertain and
challenging times.

Things will not be easy under a second Trump presidency and right-wing
control of Congress in 2025, but know this: we will stand side by side
with each other, fight for freedom and justice for all, and continue our
work to transform the Democratic Party for the better.

Our biggest takeaway from the past year? The Democratic Party has lost
touch with working-class people while cozying up to corporations,
billionaires, and super PACs.

After the November election results, this Party should take a long look in
the mirror, clean house, and finally pass the torch to the next generation
of leaders who represent the working class. Thus far, they’ve continued to
point the finger elsewhere while keeping the same old, out-of-touch
members in positions of leadership, signaling they have learned nothing —
so come January, it’s time for us to turn up the pressure.

Justice Democrats was founded to build people power in our country by
finding and electing a bloc of working-class leaders to Congress who
reject corporate PAC money and truly put people first. We defied the odds
when we recruited working-class champions like Summer Lee and AOC to
replace corporate, Democratic incumbents — and won.

Now, we must rise to the occasion and do it again. There is a vacuum of
leadership at the federal level that can be filled by billionaire-backed
candidates or by working people. Our goal is to make sure it’s with
working people by finding the next generation of candidates to run for
Congress and challenge corporate Democrats in 2026.
