The 25-Day Nightmare Over the Eastern Seaboard

The United States has been subjected to a 25-day ordeal involving mysterious drones flying over the East Coast, with no apparent response or resolution from our defense apparatus. This drone scenario has escalated into a significant breakdown of our national defense capabilities, revealing a government that seems either unwilling or unable to protect its citizens.

The situation has been exacerbated by what can only be described as a leadership vacuum. New Jersey's Governor has notably failed to show up at four scheduled meetings with local elected officials who are desperate for answers. This absence does not instill confidence in the state's or the nation's leadership at a critical time. Meanwhile, on Capitol Hill, those briefed by the Department of Defense (DOD) on the issue have been left with more questions than answers, highlighting a profound lack of understanding or perhaps transparency from those meant to safeguard our skies.

The situation has taken a more sinister turn with the involvement of a whistleblower who claims there is an Iranian "mothership" off the East Coast launching these drones.

U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J stated, "From very high sources, very qualified sources, very responsible sources, I'm gonna tell you the real deal. Iran launched a mother ship probably about a month ago that contains these drones. That mother ship is off … the east coast of the United States of America. They've launched drones is everything that we can see or hear and again these are from high sources. I don't say this lightly."

This claim is outright denied by the DOD Press Secretary, raising questions about whether we are dealing with a cover-up or gross incompetence. Given Iran's previous plots, including an assassination attempt against President-Elect Trump, the potential threat cannot be understated.

The local impacts reported from the mysterious drones in New Jersey are as alarming as bizarre. One Morris County family observed one of these drones hovering above them and noted that the time on their car's clock inexplicably changed during this encounter, only returning to normal once they drove away from the area. This phenomenon was highlighted by a local software engineer and radio communications specialist, Rich Dunajewski, who posited that the drones might be employing GPS jamming or spoofing techniques, which could interfere with electronic devices like vehicle clocks by feeding them false signals, consistent with electronic warfare capabilities to manipulate or disrupt local systems. Such capabilities, if confirmed, would not only indicate sophisticated technology but also raise significant security concerns about the potential for broader electronic interference or espionage in the region.

If the government is aware of the drones' origins and intentions but chooses not to act, or if they genuinely cannot trace or intercept these drones, both scenarios paint a picture of a failed national defense system. The technology exists to track, identify, and neutralize aerial threats, yet we've yet to see a demonstration of this capability when it's most needed.

The world is watching as the U.S., once a beacon of military might and technological prowess, struggles to respond to a threat in its backyard. Why has there been such a delay in reacting to these drones, which are clearly not friendly and have been operating with impunity?

“If our government is paralyzed to act due to political reasons, bureaucratic inertia, or technological shortcomings, it is failing in its most basic duty to protect its citizens.” -Brigitte Gabriel

The ongoing drone situation over the East Coast is not just a test of our national defense; it's a wake-up call. We must reassess and reinforce our capabilities, ensure our leaders are present and engaged, and above all, ensure that our skies are not left open to exploitation by those who wish us harm. Until then, the shadow of these mystery drones will loom large, symbolizing not just a threat from above, but a profound vulnerability within.
