Hi there,

This month’s unemployment report was the worst in our generation. Nearly 1 in 6 Americans are now unemployed, and among those under 45, it’s 1 in 2. An entire generation’s future could be destroyed if we don’t take the right steps now.

That’s why today, our campaign is announcing a 3 step plan to economic recovery -- and we need your help to get support for our campaign. Share the video here.

Step 1 is to focus on saving lives. While there will be temptations to come out of lockdown early, research from the University of Chicago shows that this could cost the economy $8 trillion. Our economy will grow faster if we focus on saving lives precisely because our economy depends on human life.

Step 2 is to invest in ordinary people. With so much focus on corporate bailouts and business loans, we can’t let ordinary people get lost in the shuffle. In the Great Depression, the government invested $600 billion to help people who had lost their jobs. We have to do at least as much today.

Step 3 is to build public infrastructure. So much of the economy is shut down, but construction of the things we’ll need to sustain the next generation -- solar panels, housing, and a plant-based food system -- are both safe and necessary. With so many people out of jobs, now is the time to put our people to work on preserving the future.

We have specific policies in each of these areas that will help our community bounce back. But there are large corporations, invested in the status quo, who will do anything to stop that from happening.

That’s why we need your help. We don’t have a multi-million dollar budget for marketing, like Smithfield or Chevron. You can help us spread our message.

Can you share this with a friend today?
