The Ounce’s Illinois Policy Team is excited to announce and kick off its first ever Virtual Early Childhood Advocacy Week – #SustainAndStrengthen! While we missed seeing everyone in Springfield this year due to the current health crisis, we are thrilled to launch a week of advocacy opportunities that can be done easily from home.

We know this is a very uncertain time for many, particularly our youngest learners and their families. Together, online, we can encourage our leaders to support the state’s early care and education system during and beyond this pandemic.

Early childhood providers are working hard to meet the needs of children, even though many programs have closed their physical doors or halted in-person visits during this outbreak. Please join us in contacting legislators and encouraging the prioritization of the health and sustainability of the early care and education system in the Fiscal Year 2021 state budget. You can:
