Our annual MLK Lobby Day is back in person at the Olympia Center this year! |
- Build your storytelling and advocacy skills
- Connect with other advocates from across the state
-
Share your story with your state representatives to influence policy change
|
Lobby Day programming is divided into two parts. In the morning, you’ll learn about our state’s legislative process, policy solutions to issues facing Washingtonians living on low incomes, and how to share your story to influence your lawmakers to act. Then, you’ll work together with neighbors from your legislative district to plan out and practice for your lawmaker meeting.
After a hearty lunch, you and your group will head over to the Capitol Campus to meet with your lawmakers and advocate for policies to end poverty in our state!
Throughout the day, we will provide snacks, coffee, and all the information you will need to meet with your lawmakers and advocate for your community. For the most up to date information and resources, see the event page.
We want to do everything we can to facilitate success at Lobby Day for everyone who wants to attend! That said, we cannot guarantee all accommodations, particularly if accommodations are requested within two weeks of the event. The sooner you sign up, the more able we are to organize accommodations!
We can’t wait to see you in Olympia on January 20! |
