Meeting critical needs in Gaza By Kerri Kennedy
I am writing to share an update on our ongoing humanitarian work in Gaza, where conditions have deteriorated to catastrophic levels. Aid entering Gaza has plummeted to its lowest level in over a year. People are facing starvation, severe shortages of clean water, and scarcity of essential supplies. Sowing seeds of justice By Rick Wilson
In the wake of World War I, AFSC staff began providing food for thousands of children in Germany, Austria, Poland, and Russia. They had no way of knowing it, but they had begun a tradition of working for food justice that would last over a century. Indigenous youth shape their own future
In Guatemala, Mayan Ixil youth are taking bold steps to reclaim their identity. Over the past four years, AFSC has been supporting their efforts through a civic-political training diploma program, working alongside the Chemol Txumb'al youth network. This diploma course is more than just an educational initiative. It is a powerful tool for cultural preservation, community empowerment, and resistance. Continue reading.
