Team,

Nothing — not even a public health crisis that's killed nearly 90,000 of our fellow Americans to date — will stand in the way of Roger Williams and the Republican Party's mission to end the Affordable Care Act.

The ACA has provided millions of people with healthcare coverage and allows medically fragile kids to get life-saving care. It's the law of the land and should be until we pass Medicare for All.

So when career politicians like Roger Williams started coming after healthcare protections for the elderly, sick children, working Texans, and people with disabilities — all so millionaires and multi-national corporations could get a tax cut — that's what lit the fire for me to run.

Can you chip in $5 or more toward our $7,500 mid-month goal at midnight to support our people-powered movement and send me to D.C.? We're currently $1,651 short of where we need to be: [link removed]

My decision to get into this race, and to take a second run at this seat that we came so close to flipping in 2018, is about more than just Roger Williams. I have a son with a lot of healthcare conditions and I wanted to make sure that he and the thousands of people that I have met all over this district are able to get the care they need to be well and live to their full potential for the rest of their lives.

But for a lot of Texans, that's not a lived reality. There's no insurance, and if they get sick or their child gets sick, they have to make some serious decisions: Do we pay rent, do we pay for groceries, or do we go to a doctor, or to an E.R., where the bill is going to be even higher?

The situation is far more dire now that millions of Americans are out of work and are losing their employer-sponsored healthcare coverage.

So if you believe like I do that ensuring that every one of our fellow human beings is able to seek the care they need is the moral choice we face as a country, will you help us bring real representation back to Austin and Central Texas?

Make a contribution of $5 or more before midnight tonight to make sure this people-powered movement has everything we'll need to keep up the fight in the months ahead: [link removed]

Thank you for letting me be part of this with you. I'm grateful.

Thank you,

Julie
