After two weeks of vote-counting, Democrats just won a multi-million
dollar State Supreme Court race in North Carolina by 625 votes. Now,
Republicans are trying to use the courts to beat back this victory.

They're are also trying to use a recount to overturn a Democratic victory
in the North Carolina State House election that broke the Republicans'
supermajority – ending their ability to overturn the Democratic Governor's
vetoes.

The stakes of these two races are high:

* If Justice Allison Riggs' victory holds, Dems will maintain a path to
regaining the State Supreme Court majority in 2028 and ending
Republican gerrymandering – just like Democrats did in Wisconsin in
2023.
* If Democrat Bryan Cohn's 233 vote State House win stands, Dems will
gain the power to block extreme right-wing legislative attacks on
abortion rights, voting rights, LGBTQ+ protections, and more.

Democrats have already won these races. Now, we need to defend them.
