John,

Join Health Affairs December 4 for a virtual event supported by Arnold Ventures on the current uses of hospital and insurer price transparency data and efforts to improve their usability and reliability.

Save the Date

In 2019, the federal government required first hospitals and then insurers to publish their negotiated prices.

Insurer and hospital compliance with the data requirements has improved over time, but issues with enforcement and data usability remain.

Drawing upon articles in the Health Affairs Forefront series “Provider Prices in the Commercial Sector,” panelists will discuss their experiences with price transparency, as well as needs and ideas for future improvement.

Sabrina Corlette of Georgetown University will moderate the virtual briefing.

Speakers include:

  • Ge Bai, Johns Hopkins University
  • Jean Abraham, University of Minnesota
  • Michael Conway, Colorado Division of Insurance
  • Shawn Gremminger, National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions
  • Steve Parente, University of Minnesota

Date: Wednesday, December 4, 2024

Time: 1 pm – 2:30 pm ET

Online details will be shared with registrants 24 hours in advance of the event. A recording of the event will be shared with registrants.
