Dear John,

Applications are open for our 2025 Congressional Leadership Development Program (CLDP)

Do you or someone you know have questions about the application process or the experience on Capitol Hill? Join us for a CLDP Virtual Open House session and get your questions answered!

The CLDP Virtual Open House will discuss what a summer with CLDP would look like, what value the program offers to students, the requirements for the fellowship, the application process, and what makes an applicant competitive. The CLDP Virtual Open House will be offered at the following dates and times:
  • Thursday, November 21st, 7pm ET
  • Thursday, December 12th, 7pm ET

Our CLDP program is offered at zero cost to accepted candidates and places youth in a coveted Capitol Hill internship position for 10 weeks during the summer. Fellows gain critical first hand experience on how Congress functions, what goes on behind closed doors – and what the legislative process actually looks like.

CLDP is an experience that will last a lifetime. Some of the benefits of our CLDP Program include:

  • A generous stipend

  • Free housing

  • Placement in Congressional office

  • Application material consultations

  • Pre-program guides and preparation

  • Comprehensive orientation

  • Policy and professional development curriculum

  • Invitations to events around the city

  • Mentorship program with Hill staff and alumni

  • Access to our alumni networking platform

  • Post-program job/internship placement support

We look forward to welcoming our 2025 CLDP Cohort to Washington D.C. and continuing our mission of developing bright young minds who go on to achieve important milestones for our community. Through this exclusive opportunity that places interns, fellows and staff in Congressional Offices, we not only have a seat at the table for today but are building for our future.

Please share this opportunity with your friends and loved ones. The CLDP Application closes on December 22 at 11:59PM PST.
