Tuesday night was devastating for so many of us. Despite pouring ourselves into the fight for an America where our diversity is celebrated, our freedoms are sacred, and our values are upheld, we're facing another Donald Trump presidency. I'm worried, heartbroken, and shocked. But I'm not without hope -- and I hope you aren't either.

We do not yet know who will control the House and there is still a path for Democrats to take the majority. House Democrats continue to defy political gravity by flipping seats from red to blue. Key California House races remain too close to call and we're mobilizing volunteers to help cure ballots for George Whitesides. Regardless of the outcome of these yet to be decided races, I know that Hakeem Jeffries and our House Democratic leadership team, of which I've been proud to be a part of, is ready to keep us fighting to put People Over Politics. I know that the groundwork we laid throughout the country will take on new life as we continue to organize and work to grow the Democratic coalition. And I know that you and I will always keep fighting, side by side, for a future where we can all thrive.

This week has been hard, and there will be many hard days ahead. But I promise that I will be with you, through thick and thin, defending our values and working every day until the promises of America are realized.
