Hello John,

As you’ll be aware, a General Election has been called for the end of this month, on Friday 29 November. There’s something easy you can do today to make a difference for young people in this election - encourage young people to register to vote.

Our recent poll showed most people believe that politicians are not representing young people’s interests ([link removed]) . This has to change. And one of the most effective ways to change it, is to get young people registered to vote.

Registering to vote is quick and easy

It’s never been easier to register as a voter: the entire process can now be done online. All a person needs to do to register is:
1. Find their PPS number
2. Find their Eircode
3. Fill out a quick form at CheckTheRegister.ie

New voters need to be registered 15 working days before the election date, which means November 12th, so the next few days are crucial for getting young voters registered and ready to use their voices.

We also have a page with info about youth voter registration ([link removed]) available on the NYCI website.

And of course if you’re not registered yourself John, now’s the perfect time!

Thanks so much

Grace
