We did it, John!

Election results are in, and I am excited to share that I have won the race for California’s 30th Congressional District!

I want to thank each of you for your support for my campaign, and express how grateful I am for this grassroots team. With your help, we have made history electing the first woman ever to represent this district.

I am also so grateful for the support of my community.

I know many of us, myself included, are extremely disappointed at the results at the top of the ticket. But if I’ve learned anything in my career in public service, it’s that action is the best antidote to anxiety. There's a lot of work ahead of us, and it starts now.

I promise that I will serve Los Angeles, California, and our country to the very best of my ability. I will listen to all voices and try to do the most good for the greatest number of people. I look forward to our continued partnership.
