Indivisibles,
Let’s be frank: We’re exhausted. Many of us are running on a miniscule
amount of sleep. We sprinted to the finish line, doing all we could to
defeat MAGA and…lost. It’s natural to wake up this morning and maybe feel
a little empty, a little disoriented.
[ [link removed] ]But there’s still more at stake.
There are close, winnable races in the House and Senate, across the
country, that still haven’t been called and will decide the balance of
   power in Congress.
Senate control has already tipped to Republicans. But, there’s a real
difference between a one seat Republican majority and a three seat
majority (remember when John McCain “saved” Obamacare?). If we can win
even one more seat, it could be the exact defense we need against Trump’s
   horrific appointments.
The House is still in play. We don’t yet know the fate of the House, and
we likely won’t have a full picture for a while. We do know that it is
going to be incredibly close. If we can flip the House, we hold a xxxxxx
   against the MAGA agenda.
So, we need to make sure every vote is counted. [ [link removed] ]The next few days are
going to be a frantic sprint to ensure every Democratic vote is tallied in
these razor-thin margins through ballot curing.
    What is ballot curing?
In every election, thousands of mail-in ballots are left uncounted
because of an error or inconsistency that flags them as invalid (think
their signature doesn’t match). In an effort to make sure every vote is
counted, state and party officials try to track these people down in
order to rectify those mistakes, this is referred to as [ [link removed] ]ballot
curing. Volunteers often help contact those voters.
Here’s where you can get to work on some of the closest outstanding races:
     * Ballot cure for [ [link removed] ]Arizona.
     * Ballot cure for [ [link removed] ]Michigan.
     * Ballot cure for [ [link removed] ]Nevada.
     * Ballot cure for [ [link removed] ]California's 45th.
[ [link removed] ]We’ll be updating this link with more opportunities as they are
organized. And if you live in one of these states, we’ll be reaching out
with ways you can do this work in-person.
This has been one of the most tumultuous elections in American history,
and we just watched a serial harasser and insurrectionist get elected to
the White House, again. Despair is an understandable emotion.
But Indivisible was born to move us out of despair and into action.
Our movement began as a means to stop the Trump agenda, we succeeded, and
we will do it again. We will come together. We will fight back. We will
   forge a path forward.
There’s a lot of long-term work to do (see [ [link removed] ]Ezra’s earlier email for
more on that). But there’s a limited window to secure these vital wins. So
please, if you’re looking for something meaningful to do today, if you
want to help build the power we’ll need for the fights ahead, help us make
   sure every vote is counted.
   In solidarity,
   Indivisible Team
PS -- [ [link removed] ]Join us tonight at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT for a post-election call
with Ezra and Leah to talk about what happened, process the results, and
begin the work of fighting back.
