The International Rescue Committee plays a vital role in welcoming and providing resettlement and integration services for refugees and asylum seekers, including those from Afghanistan.
The Hussaini family—from Afghanistan and pictured above—received critical services, including housing support, from the IRC to help get settled into their new life in Salt Lake City, Utah.
They also received legal assistance to bring three of their daughters—who got separated during their evacuation—safely to the United States. 💛
The IRC operates 29 offices across the U.S. to welcome and support newly arrived families by providing immediate aid, including food, housing, medical attention, legal services and more.
