We made a very difficult decision last week.

We had a Team Slotkin meeting where it became clear that if we had a bit more money, we could make a real play for additional votes as voting was underway across the state.

The money wasn’t in the budget. But I gave the green light.

It’s a risk. But this is the moment to take some risks. I’ve had similar moments in prior years. We can’t get caught short when people are already casting their ballots in this election. That'd be a mistake.

But the bet we made was that, as the race tightens, and if we asked, our supporters would come through to help fill the gap. We hope that you will. To keep the Senate in the hands of the Democrats.

So with that in mind: can you make a $10 contribution to Maggie Hassan's campaign and my campaign to help us fill the budget gap we created going after the voters we need to persuade to help win this race? $10 isn’t much, but at this point it’s the small-dollar donations that are making a difference here at the end.

Like I said, it was a tough call. But if there’s one thing that distinguishes this campaign from every other, it’s our people. You answer the call every single time. $10 is all we need to close the gap.
