This pandemic has served to magnify the problems our country was facing before anyone knew what COVID-19 was.

The distrust of science and facts sowed by Republicans for years has led to dangerous protests against stay-at-home orders. One and a half million people in Texas could be covered by Medicaid with a stroke of the Governor’s pen, but instead are doubly worried about the possibility of getting sick.

The incompetence of our national and state leaders has proven disastrous for some of our most disadvantaged communities.

What we need right now is true leadership. We need someone who has been in a crisis situation and has experience making tough decisions. We need a battle-tested leader that will not stoop to mudslinging and petty politics when Texans need unity and decisiveness.

We’ve seen enough of what Trump and his Republican lackeys have to offer, and we want to know if you have too.
