Anti-choice extremists have been exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic for
months — ignoring medical experts, pushing disinformation, putting
ideology over science, and harming public health by trying to ban abortion
in states across the country.

Now, anti-choice members of Congress are trying to use the latest COVID-19
relief bill to push for unprecedented expansions of abortion coverage
restrictions.^1 This move is yet another example of how the anti-choice
movement and its Republican allies in elected office are willing to
jeopardize our health and well-being, even in the middle of a pandemic, to
push their extreme and unpopular agenda.
