You might've noticed your inbox was a shade emptier yesterday. Or perhaps
not, if -- like us -- you're getting ten million fundraising emails from
every campaign in the universe.
One email you didn’t receive was our weekly newsletter, with our usual
list of to-dos. We were off in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day, so
no newsletter this week -- but with the clock ticking down to Election
Day, you’d better believe we’re still sending out a to-do list.
And this week, we’re starting with a “what NOT to do:” Don't wait for the
polls to tell you everything is gonna be ok.
Every poll you’ve read likely has Harris and Trump locked in a dead heat
that’s too close for comfort. No one’s pulling ahead, folks, and wishing
on a star won’t cut it. Save for a miracle, the battlegrounds are going to
stay within the margin of error through Election Day.
The polls show that things are this tight because, well, it really appears
things are this tight. And that means the outcome of this election will be
determined by the work we do over these next few weeks.
It's our ground game versus theirs and literally every voter you talk to
matters. That’s not just rhetoric. In 2020, Biden’s margin in Wisconsin
came down to 3 voters per ward. Do you doubt that you can help turnout 3
voters between now and November 5? We know you can. We’ve got the tools to
help you do it.
With that, here are your weekly to-dos:

the socks off strangers and turn those maybes into definitelys. Your
voice, their vote. We’ve got phonebanks lined up every week from now
until Election Day…choose the one(s) that work best for you, and get
ready to make some calls. We’ll be calling into PA next week, so sign
up and help us contact voters in a (the?) pivotal battleground state!

and we’ll send you to knock the doors of likely-Democratic voters
within your neighborhood. Real talk, heart to heart -- the kind of
