Email from Kansas Republican Party Kansas and National News, Opinions and a Few Giggles, too!       DEFENDING KANSAS SAVING AMERICA   DONATE VOLUNTEER   Congressman Estes Calls for Republican Unity Kansas Super-Majorities Paramount ~ by Ron Estes United States Congressman (KS-4) We’re 25 days from Election Day. But we’re just five days away from when Kansans can start voting early in-person in some parts of the state. As Republicans, we need to be working strong for the next 25 days – especially when it comes to our state legislative races. Let me be clear – we must elect President Trump to the White House, take back the U.S. Senate and expand our Republican majority in the U.S. House. But as someone who has been fighting against D.C. bureaucracies for eight years in Congress, it’s imperative that we expand our supermajorities in the Kansas House and Senate to push back on D.C. – regardless of how the federal elections turn out. Thanks to the great work of grassroots volunteers in south central Kansas, we have had some great successes in the 4th District. That’s why I created a state leadership PAC – Keep Kansas Red PAC – to help organize Get Out the Vote efforts for Republicans statewide but especially in Johnson County. Keep Kansas Red PAC has identified 14 House and seven Senate seats that are crucial to keeping the Republican supermajority in the statehouse. We have invested in a budget of $100,000 to focus on turning out Republicans primarily in Johnson County. This will counter our liberal governor and the ACLU who are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to force their liberal agenda on hardworking Kansans. My congressional colleagues are helping in this Keep Kansas Red endeavor. These state legislative races don’t grab the headlines like the presidential races, but not having a supermajority and giving the governor more power will have devastating consequences for our state. Keep Kansas Red PAC is encouraging Republicans to vote – and vote early. Life happens, so the more Republicans who vote early ensure their vote will be counted. Some counties start Oct. 16, with Johnson County starting Oct. 19 and Sedgwick County starting Oct. 21. Let’s work together – through praying, door knocking, calling, texting and contributing – for the next five and 25 days to win from the White House all the way down to Topeka and our local elections. Let’s Keep Kansas Red.     The Case for Donald J. Trump   With Election Day just 25 days away and early voting set to begin soon in many Kansas counties, it’s important to consider why Donald J. Trump should be elected as the 47th President of the United States. You may or may not agree with my perspective, but if you've not yet decided to vote for Donald Trump, please consider the merits of my argument and give this thoughtful and serious consideration. This election holds significant importance because it will decide who fills roughly 5,000 key positions in the federal government. These appointees will be responsible for leading agencies, departments, and various governmental operations. Among them will be cabinet secretaries, high-level officials, and ambassadors representing the U.S. on the global stage. Their decisions will shape both domestic policy and America’s international standing. The concern with the current Democrat leadership in these roles is a blatant lack of seriousness and urgency, despite the challenging issues and times we currently face. Take, for example, Vice President Kamala Harris, tasked as the Border Czar and overseeing border security. On her watch, illegal immigration has surged, and individuals identified as terrorists have crossed into the country. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is widely seen as weak and ineffective in foreign diplomacy. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen often appears hesitant in her approach and explanations, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was reportedly absent for two weeks without notice by the White House and he oversaw the deaths of 13 American military service-members in the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal. Attorney General Merrick Garland has faced warranted criticism for politicizing and weaponizing law enforcement including the DOJ and the FBI. Additionally, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo was admittedly ignorant of the effects of a significant east coast/gulf port strike, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has been criticized for prioritizing ridiculous fantasized infrastructure discrepancies. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm seems disconnected from critical industry details including the price of a barrel of oil when asked, while Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has been criticized for his complete failure and mismanagement of the border crisis. These are just a few examples in a vast ocean of Biden/Harris administration failures. These examples highlight a broader concern about the lack of effective leadership at a time when the stakes could not be higher and danger lurks everywhere, both on and off shore, which begs the rhetorical question; Are you better off now than you were four years ago? Donald Trump, by contrast, offers a clear alternative. His track record provides insight into how his administration would function—with a focus on energy independence, strong national security, and assertive international leadership. For a safer, more stable world and country, Donald J. Trump is the right choice. I urge you to vote for Donald J. Trump.     KU Professor: “I don’t want the Deans hearing…” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 9, 2024 TOPEKA, KS – Kansas Republican Party Chairman Mike Brown issued the following statement regarding video of a University of Kansas employee, Phillip Lowcock, calling for men who do not vote for Kamala Harris to be “lined up and shot.” “This video is beyond disturbing and is exactly what’s wrong with education in America. Radical professors like Phillip Lowcock―especially in a taxpayer-funded university―teaching vile and toxic hate to impressionable adults. If it’s happening here, it’s happening elsewhere across our country. Every legislature should examine their funding of programs that allow extremism like this to persist, and every parent should seek institutions aligned with their core values,” said Kansas Republican Party Chairman Mike Brown. “This deranged individual shows no remorse for his statements―only regret that it was recorded on camera. It should send a shiver down everyone’s spine if KU allows Phillip Lowcock to return to instructing students,” Brown added. In the video, Phillip Lowcock can be heard requesting that part of the video be “scratched from the recording” because he “didn’t want the Deans hearing.” The University of Kansas sent out a vague statement about a pending investigation and placing the individual on administrative leave, however, this is not the first time the institution has taken similar action following an employee’s outrageous and vile comments. In 2013, a different professor, David Guth was placed on administrative leave after he commented on Twitter that the sons and daughters of gun-rights activists should be shot and ended his tirade with “may God Damn you.” Full Video Transcript: Phillip Lowcock: “…guys are smarter than girls, you got some serious problems. Uh. That’s what frustrates me there are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think females are smart enough to be president. We could line all those guys up and shoot ‘em. They clearly don’t understand the way the world works. Did I say that? Uh…[unintelligible]…scratch that from the recording. I don’t want the Deans hearing that I said that.” America First Always, America First These are Serious Times, but these are not Serious People Vote Accordingly   Mike Brown, Chairman Kansas Republican Party Mike Brown has served as the Chairman of the Kansas Republican Party since February 2023. Enjoy.   Kamala Word Salads What in the world is wrong with Kamala Harris? She is struggling to keep and cope. Everyone sees it but we are calling her out on it. Something is seriously off in this woman who says she can lead America. Things don't add up. These are serious times These are not serious people America First Always, America First   Stolen-Valor Tim Walz Here is what Tim Walz had to say about an American hostage killed in Gaza by Hamas. This man is a total buffoon and an absolutely despicable coward.     Shady, Sheepy Sharice Voted for the American Inflation EXPLOSION Act We expect a Member of Congress to already know this, but here is the simple answer to your question: Stop Voting for Trillions of Dollars in Giveaways Congress wouldn’t need to do anything if the Democrat-controlled United States Congress in 2021 had acted like responsible adults and not burdened generations of Americans with debt to underwrite their folly. But here we are, AGAIN, cleaning up ANOTHER Democrat mess. Being a Member of Congress is serious business. Sharice Davids isn’t a serious person.
