We're at a critical time in the fight for climate justice.

I don't need to tell you what we're up against -- you already know. You experience and witness it every day.

So do I.

At Power Shift Network, we've been thinking a lot lately about how we support a climate movement that can match the challenge of the climate crisis. We've been working with our partners and collaborators to plan how we're uniquely going to show up in this fight.

Soon we're going to announce a bold new undertaking -- Power Shift 2021 -- a convergence of young people coming forward to address the crisis of climate change. I want you to be among the first to know.

Because of your past support, we know we can count on you when it matters most. And in order to realize this vision, we're going to need more people like you to get involved.

In order to build a convergence that matches the crisis of climate change and serves as a leadership onramp, we need the financial support of grassroots leaders like you. We've done this before because we see the incredible power of young people in this movement and we want to go beyond our past successful efforts.

Nothing else will do if we are serious about bringing young people into the climate movement. And we're very serious about that.

Power Shift 2021 will focus on bringing in and training young people in the climate movement, and supporting them in building community, skills, and shared identity, as well as connect them to leadership opportunities available within our Network member organizations..

We also understand that people of color at the frontlines of the climate crisis need to be at the center of any true movement towards climate justice. Power Shift 2021 will center youth of color in the planning, programs, and post-convergence activation of participants.

We'll have so much more to tell you in the weeks to come about our plans for this convergence.
