Attacks on our reproductive freedom have no place in any bill, let alone a
bill meant to respond to a global crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet
here we are again — and anti-choice lawmakers are desperate enough for a
political win that they’re trying to force restrictions on reproductive
freedom into a relief bill.^1

NARAL Pro-Choice America has always done everything we can to ensure you
can access the reproductive healthcare you need. Now, we need our elected
leaders to do the same. In this critical moment, we must expand
reproductive freedom, not undermine it.

[ [link removed] ]Send a message to your members of Congress right now demanding they
reject this sneaky attempt to attack our reproductive freedom — and any
provision in COVID-19 response bills that would take away access to
reproductive healthcare.

The anti-choice radical right is obsessed with ending legal abortion and
there’s no low they won’t sink to in order to advance their agenda —
including exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic. Already, politicians in 13
states and counting have scrambled to use this crisis as a smokescreen to
ban abortion. And with this latest move in Congress, it’s clear they’re
not stopping anytime soon.

I won't sugarcoat this: We've got an uphill battle ahead. Far too many
members of Congress are consumed with restricting reproductive freedom.
And we've got a president who's all too willing to sign away our
fundamental rights with the stroke of a pen.

But here's the good news: The majority of Americans reject these political
games — and anti-choice politicians know it. That's why they’re trying to
sneak it in and pass it quickly before we can organize and shut it down.

[ [link removed] ]Time is running out before Congress votes — demand that your members of
Congress protect reproductive freedom in COVID-19 response bills NOW.

In the second COVID-19 relief bill, the pro-choice majority in the House
of Representatives blocked the GOP’s attempts to expand abortion
restrictions. But in the third relief package, Senate Republicans insisted
on putting ideology over science and expanded abortion restrictions as a
part of the legislation. With a vote on the fourth bill fast approaching,
it’s essential that your representatives hear from you today.

If we keep the pressure up, keep fighting louder and harder, we can win.
And when we win, we'll be sending a clear message: We will not allow
reproductive freedom to be thrown under the bus for political expediency.
Not now. Not ever.
