John,
I hope that you are safe and well.
Today, on #GivingTuesdayNow, non-profits across the country are reaching out in response to the enormous financial pressures imposed by the COVID-19 crisis.
The National Wildlife Federation is facing that pressure as well. I’m asking today for your help in closing a gap in our operating budget that puts at risk our ability to deliver on our wildlife conservation and education programs.
Please pitch in whatever you are able today to support our #GivingTuesdayNow campaign to help us close this budget gap.
John, the budget gap we face is significant. We have two choices: we can cut back, or we can try to raise the funds needed to close it.
Cutting back would reduce our ability to deliver educational content that connects students with wildlife and a conservation ethic. It would harm our ability to defend and promote policies that support wildlife and the air, land, and water we share. And our vital conservation work to help vulnerable species and their devastated habitats recover would be at risk as well.
The effects of those cuts would be felt for years to come.
Meeting today’s $50,000 goal is not going to close our budget gap completely. But it will give us time to develop a plan to fully resource our vital work to create a future where people and wildlife will thrive.
Please, if you are able, donate to help meet our $50,000 #GivingTuesdayNow campaign before our midnight deadline.
Thank you for all that you do to support our work, and please be healthy and safe.
