With 40 days until the election, this is not the news we were hoping to share.

FIRST: Trump set his attack dogs in Congress on the VA, subpoenaing them for registering Veterans to vote at VA facilities.

THEN: Trump launched his latest broadside against UOCAVA - the program Active Duty Military uses to vote overseas. He’s threatening to throw out their votes to “protect them.”

NOW: We just got word that Republican election officials in North Carolina have purged more than 700,000 people from their rolls — nearly 10% of all registered voters.

One thing is absolutely clear: We have to mobilize and fight back.

Trump made it clear that he aims to suppress the votes of Active Duty and Veterans this year. VoteVets is preparing our Veteran-to-Veteran texting program in response, and we’ll put a ton of resources into reaching hundreds of thousands of Veterans in swing seats and races we need to win this November.

These programs aren’t easy, or cheap. So as we prepare one of the critical pillars of our outreach, we’re asking you for your help.
