This global health crisis and a moratorium on resettlement have made it even more challenging for refugee families who are stuck in dangerously crowded camps – or who don't have a place to stay at all – to support and protect themselves. Social distancing is impossible in these conditions, leaving many refugees particularly susceptible to the spread of the virus.

HIAS is committed to helping refugees and asylum seekers around the world in their quest for safety and freedom, so we’ve set a goal to raise $50,000 by midnight to support our efforts to provide them with cash assistance, emotional support, and measures to keep women and girls safe from sexual and gender-based violence.
