RE: Our electoral gameplan

The stakes of this election could not be more clear—and voting is already underway in states across the country.

What we do in the next few weeks will determine the next generation of the fight for reproductive freedom. Here's what I mean:

Will we defend the U.S. Senate, flip the U.S. House, and send Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the White House? If so, we'll be able to pass a national right to abortion, safeguard access to birth control and fertility treatments, and work to make all forms of reproductive health care more accessible.

Or will we be forced back onto defense, battling Trump's Project 2025, his Supreme Court, and his MAGA cronies across the country for our fundamental freedoms?

We know that the path to victory is not easy and there is no room for complacency at this stage. Republicans are fighting tooth and nail to defeat us and roll back our fundamental rights. But abortion is the issue that will decide this election— which is why we need the resources to be able to carry out every single piece of our plan to win. [[link removed]]

That plan includes:

1. Getting people talking to their friends and family about this election. We know that the most effective way to make sure someone supports our candidates and ballot measures is for them to hear how important it is from the people they trust most.

2. Contacting voters online and offline who we know support reproductive freedom—but might need an extra push to make sure they get out and vote for it.

3. Making clear to people across the country how high the stakes are—and what another Trump presidency would do to decimate reproductive freedom.

4. Continuing to build long-term political power in swing states across the country so that we don’t just win this election, but have the infrastructure to hold bad actors accountable and keep fighting for progress.

These are the tactics that helped Democrats win in 2020 and 2022. And, if we have the resources we need to carry it out, it will help Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and every other reproductive freedom champion win in November.

This is about so much more than who is in the White House for the next four years. It's about who is appointing judges and justices to courts across the country, including the Supreme Court.

It's about the people in states with abortion bans who will continue to be denied basic care and the right to decide what happens to their own bodies.

It's about people who aren't able to start or grow their families because they can't access fertility treatments.

It's about people who can't decide their own futures because they don't have access to birth control.

This is why we're fighting, with heart and soul and joy and everything we've got. Because we cannot sit back and let other people decide our futures.

We are on the ground in key battleground states and have staff dedicated to turning out the majority of Americans who believe in the legal right to abortion across the country. We know what races and states will make the difference in this election. And we have the plan to win them.
