My dad was a high school teacher and my mom worked as a librarian; they spent their lives working to give my brother and me more opportunities than they had growing up. One of my first jobs was parking cars at a country club, where I experienced and witnessed the extreme inequities between working people and the wealthy elite. These early lessons are at the core of why I've fought for working families throughout my career. From fighting to raise the federal minimum wage, to getting big money out of politics, to ensuring college affordability, to fighting for universal healthcare-- I'm proud that my values are the values of working people!

It's an extreme honor to announce that I've received the endorsement from the Working Families Party!

Working people are the backbone of our communities and our economy and it's never been more evident than during the COVID-19 crisis. You can guarantee that I'll continue fighting to protect frontline workers and extend worker protections, and liveable wages for all. Keep up the fight and onward to November!
