It’s National Voter Registration Day, John!
With less than 50 days until Election Day, we urge you to celebrate by reminding your friends and family to register to vote, update their voter registration, or check their voter status.
Registering to vote is a necessary first step to participating in our democracy. But with so many strict and confusing voter ID laws in 38 different states, registering to vote is just the first step to casting a ballot that counts. Every registered voter across the country also needs to do an ID check so they know what ID (if any) they need to show at the polls or to vote by mail. And they need time to get an accepted form of ID if they don’t have one already.
Today, be sure to: -
Register to vote or check your status
-
Do an ID check
-
Make your plan to vote
In such a close election and with so much at stake, it’s critical that every single voter be able to participate and make their voice heard. Share our voter ID resources with your friends and family and encourage them to do an ID check, too! |
