The MAGA cult leader's utterly pathetic and demonstrably false claims of pet-eating migrants taking over rural America would be funny if they weren't a very clear and present dangerous to the people he is denigrating. The convicted felon and undisputed head of the GOP has exactly no new ideas for moving the United States forward. He is a sad, angry, old man with nothing but divisiveness and petty grievances to peddle, and with poll numbers showing a nail-biter of a race (mind-boggling, we know), he's relying on the one tried-and-true tactic he knows best: wildly irrational fearmongering. And now he's tripling down on the crazy and dragging — why not — geese into the mess. And while Kamala Harris is on the campaign trail talking about actual, pragmatic solutions for the country's many, complex challenges, Donald Trump is busy sharing AI-generated content like ⬆️ THIS ⬆️ from his official social media accounts — 52 days before the election. Seriously. Can we please retire this narcissistic sociopath once and for all on November 5?

If you're wondering what the hell he's talking about, you aren't alone. Vice President Kamala Harris doesn't have a brother. And her family definitely did not endorse the convicted felon. Donald, of course, is confused. Again. He was trying to brag about Gov. Tim Walz's distant relatives in Nebraska endorsing his candidacy — complete with grammatically incorrect t-shirts, we might add — but, as is often the case, he lost the plot halfway through the bit.

Whenever Trump and his ilk start spreading hateful conspiracies, death threats, bomb threats, and harassment inevitably follow. It took only a few days after Trump and JD Vance began pushing the absurd conspiracy theory that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, were killing and eating house pets for his rabid fans to call in a bomb threat against the City Hall. The bomb threat on Thursday morning "used hateful language towards immigrants and Haitians in our community," Mayor Rob Rue told The Washington Post, and added that Springfield "is a community that needs help...Rumors like this are taking away from the real issues such as issues involving our housing or school resources and our overwhelmed healthcare system."

Judge strikes down North Dakota’s ban on abortion
A state judge struck down North Dakota’s ban on abortion on Thursday, saying that the state constitution created a fundamental right to access abortion before a fetus is viable. In his ruling, State District Judge Bruce Romanick also said that the law violated the state constitution because it was too vague. The abortion statutes at issue in the case infringed "on a woman’s fundamental right to procreative autonomy, and are not narrowly tailored to promote women’s health or to protect unborn human life," Romanick wrote, adding, "The law as currently drafted takes away a woman’s liberty and her right to pursue and obtain safety and happiness."
