Dear Friend,
The countdown is on—National Voter Registration Day is September 17th! We want to make sure you are registered to vote and have the resources you need.
This November, the issues that are important to moms like you and families like yours are on the ballot. Your voice matters, and on Election Day, your vote matters, too!
Are you all set for November and registered to vote?
—> Did you click YES? Great! Some people are getting pushed off the voter rolls, and it only takes a minute to double check if you’re still registered to vote: momsrising.org/register
Why all the excitement about National Voter Registration Day? Well, why not be excited about getting every eligible American registered to vote? Did you know that every year, millions of people are unable to vote because they didn’t update their registration, they miss a deadline, or they’re not sure how to register? [1] We can’t let that happen to you. In fact, we won’t.
A lot can happen in four years: New additions to your family, name changes, moving to a new city or even state, naturalization, or turning 18! Among the many life events and changes that take place, it’s easy to overlook updating your voter registration, but that’s why you’ve got us to remind you. Whether you’re a new parent or a new voter, this November is important not only for the presidential elections but the 34 US Senate seats, the 435 House of Representatives seats, state legislative races across 44 states, and 11 governors races, not to mention the municipal races and ballot initiatives. [2] Now do you understand why we’re excited about National Voter Registration Day?!
Are you all set for November and registered to vote?
It’s your right to VOTE and you have a choice in how you make your voice heard! Whether by mail, early in-person or on Election Day, the coming election is too important. Please share this message with everyone you know so they too can make sure they’re registered and ready to vote on or before Election day, November 5, 2024.
Thanks for all you do,
-- Namatie, Ruth, Kristin and the whole MomsRising.org/MamásConPoder.org team
