The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the Michigan Association of Pupil Transportaion (MAPT) wants your school district to have newer, cleaner school buses. Join us for an informative webinar on the second round of the Michigan Clean Bus Energy Grant Program [ [link removed] ]! With the application window for Round 2 closing on October 12, 2024, this session is your chance to get up-to-date information and expert guidance on how to make the most of this valuable funding opportunity.

You’ll walk away from this webinar with:

* A comprehensive understanding of the Michigan Clean Bus Energy Grant Program, including eligibility criteria, funding opportunities, and the application process;
* Knowledge of best practices and essential considerations for deploying electric school buses (ESBs) from utility industry experts;
* Practical advice on integrating these vehicles into your existing infrastructure; and,
* Examples of success stories and key outcomes from Round 1 of the program, including a firsthand account from a school district that successfully put ESBs on the road.

School districts can apply for this grant funding to purchase alternative-fuel school buses. All Michigan public school districts are eligible to receive 70% of the cost of an electric school bus, charging station and infrastructure. Prioritized high-need districts are eligible for up to 90% of the total project costs. Attend this webinar to learn more about the challenges surrounding ESB deployment and how Michigan Clean Bus Energy Grant Program funding can help you overcome these challenges and experience all the benefits these vehicles have to offer.
