Hi, I wanted to reach out one more time before we wrap up another unprecedented rollercoaster of a month. Many of you have been in self-isolation for quite some time now. We’ve been at home because that’s what the doctors and experts tell us will mitigate this crisis and save lives.

But that doesn’t mean it’s easy. I know it’s hard to be away from family and friends, and I know it’s even harder for those who don’t know how they will pay their bills if they can’t go to work or open their place of business.

And it’s all compounded by an absolute failure of leadership at the highest level of government. I’ve written you multiple emails at this point about Donald Trump’s incompetence in handling the COVID-19 pandemic – and yet I was still shocked to hear the President of the United States suggest we inject Lysol to protect ourselves from coronavirus.

We need to get Trump out of the White House. We need to protect our House Majority. We need to flip the Senate.

When we wrote out our 2020 campaign plan, none of this was on the roadmap. Zoom fundraisers, the reliance on vote-by-mail, social distancing – it’s all brand new for me, for all of us. And without in-person gatherings, raising money is harder than ever. That’s why I need you, on this grassroots team, to step up and chip in if you can.

I know not everyone can afford to donate right now -- I absolutely understand. But right now, online fundraising is one of the only ways we can support critical campaign efforts. So if you’re able, would you consider pitching in a contribution before midnight tonight? The best link to contribute is here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/dcri-01-email-april2020

Folks, we’ll get through this together. What I’ve seen in communities across this nation has made me sure of that: Entire towns stopping for a moment to clap in support for healthcare workers. Neighbors stepping up to grocery shop for an elderly or immunocompromised friend. Delivery workers, postal workers, and drivers showing up to work every day to ensure Americans get their medication, paychecks, and food orders dropped off.

Let’s keep it up, beat this virus, and win big in November.
