Braunwyn shares her long-term struggle with substance use disorder and how she's doing now in recovery.

Podcast: Season 6 Premiere

Braunwyn Windham-Burke, who starred in two seasons of the hit Bravo TV show “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” joins Elizabeth Vargas for the season 6 premiere episode of “Heart of the Matter.” Braunwyn talks about her long-term struggle with substance use disorder, what it was like to quit alcohol while being on TV, and how her family, friends, and partner help her maintain her recovery.

Braunwyn shares how she's honest with her children about being in recovery:

"I'm always open with them about everything, because I think that's the key, one for them to learn how to drink responsibly if they choose to. But two, to have a role model that if drinking's not working for you, it's okay. There's resources and life is going to be good. You're not alone."
