California has long led the nation in the fight for civil rights and voting rights. November's election will set records as millions of Californians will be voting at the polls or by mail.
That's why it is incredibly important that we make sure everyone has the option to vote safely in person or to securely return a vote-by-mail ballot. Schools & Communities First will be critical to investing in our public health and our public schools, but we can't win if COVID-19 keeps Californians from voting!
TELL CALIFORNIA LEADERS -- SAFE AND ACCESSIBLE VOTING FOR ALL >>
We're working with grassroots, community-based organizations that represent low-income communities of color in urban, rural, and suburban counties across California, to expand access to the ballot box and protect voting rights for traditionally underrepresented communities in our state.
In addition to universal vote by mail, California leaders must expand the number of safe in-person voting locations this November. Providing safe in-person voting locations across California, with as many early voting opportunities as possible, will help us prevent long lines and crowds so we can safely conduct the November election.
Election workers are essential workers too! We must urge California leaders to staff in-person polling locations with adequately-paid and volunteer staffing, and pay "hazard" wages to those workers who agree to work at in-person voting locations.
Will you add your name to urge California leaders to implement safe and accessible voting for ALL Californians?
Thank you for helping us fight to keep our democracy safe and accessible for every California voter!

The Schools & Communities First initiative reclaims $12 billion every year for California’s schools and local communities by closing commercial property tax loopholes benefiting a fraction of corporations and wealthy investors. The initiative benefits residents and small businesses by exempting homeowners and renters from any changes while implementing new tax relief for small businesses.
