Hey John -- I wanted to take a minute to send you a few updates and photos from the campaign trail (which, at the moment, leads from my living room to my kitchen and back again).

We may be stuck at home, but I’ll tell you -- the work of campaigning never stops! I love it though -- every minute. Here’s a picture of me ready to send another batch of thank you postcards. This is actually one of my favorite parts of the job, getting to express my gratitude directly to our supporters. Our campaign is powered by grassroots supporters like you, and I always want you to know how integral you are to our success.

One of my jobs as Congressman Denny Heck’s District Director was to keep the pulse of what was happening in our community, from meeting with local nonprofits and checking in on small businesses to learning about the work of other grassroots organizations. As a candidate for Congress, this work is more important and rewarding than ever. I love hearing about the amazing things the people of Thurston, Pierce, and Mason County are doing to inspire progress, give back to their communities, and effect positive change.

In fact, just this past week, I was so glad to join the Thurston County Democratic Women for their April membership meeting -- on Zoom, of course!

One thing we’ve all learned these past few months is how important it is to connect with loved ones, even if you can’t be in the same room as them. Celebrating together looks different these days, but it’s always worth it. Here’s a photo of my dad’s recent birthday party. Happy Birthday, Dad!

I mean it when I say I’ve loved every minute of this campaign, even as we’ve had to navigate so many unexpected twists and turns. I still feel so inspired and supported by all of you -- you continue to show me what’s great about political activism and public service, and you inspire me every day to get to work on issues like solving the climate emergency, expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare, and saving our beloved Puget Sound.

If you value this grassroots campaign, our mission, and what you and I have built together, I hope you’ll consider making a donation today. Can you chip in $25, $50, or whatever feels right to you today?

Thanks for everything. I hope to safely see you in person someday soon!

Phil
