PepsiCo signs US distribution deal with Bang Energy
It was announced today that PepsiCo has entered into a deal to exclusively distribute the portfolio of Bang Energy beverages in the United States. Earlier in March, PepsiCo acquired Rockstar Energy Beverages for $3.85 billion. The Rockstar and Bang brands add to PepsiCo’s other energy beverages, which include the Mountain Dew Kickstart, GameFuel and Amp brands.
Supply chain algorithms are having trouble during the pandemic
Most retail companies rely on some type of model or algorithm to help predict what their customers will want. Normally, those models are fairly reliable, however, they are facing disruption due to the pandemic. Rather than relying on long term trends some companies are using more recent data such as the week prior to help predict upcoming sales.
