Hi John,
As we are staying home to combat the pandemic, I am pleased invite you to virtual meet-and-greet with congressional candidate Nancy Goroff (NY-1) tonight (Tuesday, April 28) at 5:30pm Eastern. Thank you if you have already
registered and apologies for the duplicate messages!
Goroff could become the first newly elected nontheist to Congress - she identifies as a secular Jew. She has the support of Emily's List and 314 Action, and she has raised over a million dollars for her campaign. She is in a four person Democratic primary on June 23 and then would take on the Republican incumbent, Lee Zeldin. Zeldin was a member of Trump's impeachment defense team and narrowly won re-election in 2018 with just 51.5% of the
vote.
You can RSVP for the event and submit your questions for the candidate here.
This is a great opportunity to engage directly with a candidate who will use evidence-based public policy solutions in Congress. For the past twenty-two years, Dr. Goroff has taught at Stony Brook University and for the past two and a half years she has served as chair of the Chemistry Department.
As we practice social distancing, it is important that we stay connected, stay organized, and stay engaged as secular voters! Please join us for this event, specially organized for members of our community.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Ron Millar
PAC Coordinator
