Wyoming Continues Fight Against EPA Overreach with Lawsuit Challenging Rule Targeting Coal Industry

Governor Mark Gordon announced that Wyoming will lead a lawsuit with Texas, North Dakota, and 14 other states challenging the latest in a slew of rules from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) targeting the coal industry. This is the fourth suit the Governor has filed since EPA released the rule package targeting coal-fired power plants this spring. Wyoming previously filed three lawsuits challenging EPA’s other rules.

Governor Mark Gordon to Discuss Launch of First-Ever State-Issued, Fiat-Backed Stable Token at Wyoming Blockchain Symposium

Governor Mark Gordon, chairman of the Wyoming Stable Token (WYST) Commission, will speak at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21 at the Four Seasons in Jackson. In his talk, titled "Inside the Cowboy Economy," Governor Gordon will discuss Wyoming’s innovative business environment and the state's Q1 2025 launch of the nation's first-ever state-issued, fiat-backed stable token.
