Rep. Ilhan Omar just won her primary election, all but guaranteeing she’ll
continue serving as a powerful progressive voice in Congress for another
term!

But while Ilhan was able to overcome large amounts of last-minute spending
by outside groups that were critical of her advocacy for human rights for
Palestinians, the same wasn’t true for other progressive members of
Congress.
GOP-supported groups like AIPAC and others played a large role in
defeating Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush in their Democratic primaries this
year, and they’re going to continue spending millions to try and halt our
progressive movement.
But here’s the thing: We’ve proven time and time again that when
people-powered movements like ours stand together and make our voices
heard, big money is no match for our power. Ilhan’s victory is further
proof of that.
However, we can’t afford to get complacent. When we do, big spending from
outside groups can move the needle. And that’s why we’re reaching out to
