Columbia University President Minouche Shafik stepped down ahead of the upcoming school year and just a few months after rampant protests over the Israel-Hamas war on Columbia’s campus. Actress Gal Gadot, who stars in a new Disney version of “Snow White,” has faced criticism from anti-Israel activists who are calling for people to boycott the film. A former Cornell University student was sentenced to nearly two years in prison after he admitted to posting threatening content online targeting Jewish community members.

“Columbia University President Minouche Shafik is stepping down months after protests over the Israel-Hamas war gripped the campus, Shafik announced in a letter sent Wednesday to the Columbia community.” (READ MORE: CNN)

Snow White film faces anti-Israel boycott calls targeting Gal Gadot

Ex-Cornell Student Sentenced to 21 Months for Making Antisemitic Threats 

“A former Cornell University student was sentenced to 21 months in prison on Monday after admitting that he had posted a series of online messages last fall, shortly after the war in Gaza began, in which he threatened to stab, rape and behead Jewish people.” (READ MORE: NY Times)
