Dear friend,
For too long, gun violence prevention has been a taboo topic in our communities, especially our rural communities. But, as a Social Worker for the past 40 years, I have always been clear on where I stand on this topic: We need common-sense gun reforms that protect gun owners, our neighbors, our family members, and our children. Measures such as universal background checks and red flag laws are common-sense measures that allow us to all enjoy our rights to the fullest extent while also protecting those we love.

I am honored to be awarded the Gun Sense Candidate Distinction by Moms Demand Action. Since I first ran for Congress in 2018, I have been proud to partner with the local Moms Demand Action chapters to bring change to Missouri’s 8th District. I have spoken at rallies and prayer marches, organized events alongside their supporters, and knocked doors alongside their volunteers. Moms Demand Action is an incredible organization, and I’m so honored to now be a part of their slate of 2020 Gun Sense Candidates.

Our country’s gun safety laws should be driven by the common-sense measures that American voters support, and we can put those measures in place by electing a Gun Sense Candidate to Congress for Missouri. [[link removed]]
