Since 2009, Lillian's List has awarded the Courage Award to a deserving woman elected official who has shown courage in defending or advancing reproductive freedom or policies that advance gender equity, women, children, or families.
We're so excited that 2023 Jan Allen Courage Award recipient Rep. Diamond Staton-Williams will be joining us to present the 2024 Courage Award. Stay tuned as we will be announcing the 2024 winner in the coming weeks!
It is imperative that we continue to elect women who are champions of reproductive freedom all the way up and down the ballot this November. Protecting our access is not only critical for the people of NC, but for the entire South as the majority of our neighboring states have passed total or almost total abortion bans.
