Forgive the cheesy rhyme (it's Monday after all), but it doesn't undermine =
this encouraging news.

Thanks to President Trump and his Administration, the U.S. has increased dr=
amatically the amount of testing for COVID-19. As National Review reported =

s-testing/> , "more than 550,000 tests were administered in the U.S. this p=
ast weekend" alone.

Increased testing is a key part of experts' recommendations to re-open our =
country and our economy. As with Vice President Pence's encouraging intervi=
ew we shared on Friday, let's hope this is the first good news of much more=
to come!

Until then, we can feel reassured that President Trump and his Administrati=
on are working tirelessly to protect the American people in these uncertain=
times.

"Lawyers for Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) presidential campaign sent a let=
ter to the New York State Board of Elections late Sunday asking that he rem=
ain on the Democratic primary ballot on June 23, warning that it would dama=

Although he's out of the race and has endorsed Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders wa=
nts to remain on the primary ballot in the New York Democratic primary next=
month. The kicker: his lawyers are arguing it's for the sake of "party uni=
ty."

The Hill reported what's really at stake: Sanders' goal is "to continue acc=
umulating delegates in an effort to influence the party=E2=80=99s platform =
at the August convention."

As we've shared before, the real race in the Democratic primary is to the 1=
,991 declared delegates necessary to win on the first ballot at the convent=
ion in August. Biden leads Sanders by 1,305 delegates to 939 delegates.

But the more delegates Sanders can accumulate, the more he can pressure Bid=
en -- and the party -- to the move to the far left. Some "party unity"!

[But that's not the only potential problem for the Biden presidential campa=

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Biden has had to host online fundraisers, rat=
her than traditional campaign fundraising events. Plus, news of and public =
attention paid to the 2020 campaign has been (understandably!) overshadowed=
by the world's response to coronavirus.

But we suspect the challenges are greater than external circumstances, as u=
nprecedented and challenging as they are.

Since Biden made headlines for a recent donor event during which he promote=
d the conspiracy theory that President Trump would delay the 2020 election.=
.. Well, let's just say we can understand campaign aides' concerns.

[News so nice, we had to highlight it twice!]

"At the rate of the past few days, the U.S. has roughly doubled its testing capacity since last week. With 1.5 million tests reported last week, the U.S. has passed former FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb’s initial threshold of 750,000 weekly tests to begin rolling back physical-distancing measures. Gottlieb has since suggested that a much higher number will be necessary to reopen the economy. Forgive the cheesy rhyme (it's Monday after all), but it doesn't undermine this encouraging news.

Thanks to President Trump and his Administration, the U.S. has increased dramatically the amount of testing for COVID-19. As National Review reported <[link removed]> , "more than 550,000 tests were administered in the U.S. this past weekend" alone.

Increased testing is a key part of experts' recommendations to re-open our country and our economy. As with Vice President Pence's encouraging interview we shared on Friday, let's hope this is the first good news of much more to come!

Until then, we can feel reassured that President Trump and his Administration are working tirelessly to protect the American people in these uncertain times.

[Somehow we don't think this is what "party unity" means.]

"Lawyers for Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) presidential campaign sent a letter to the New York State Board of Elections late Sunday asking that he remain on the Democratic primary ballot on June 23, warning that it would damage party unity if he is removed." Although he's out of the race and has endorsed Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders wants to remain on the primary ballot in the New York Democratic primary next month. The kicker: his lawyers are arguing it's for the sake of "party unity."

The Hill reported what's really at stake: Sanders' goal is "to continue accumulating delegates in an effort to influence the party’s platform at the August convention."

As we've shared before, the real race in the Democratic primary is to the 1,991 declared delegates necessary to win on the first ballot at the convention in August. Biden leads Sanders by 1,305 delegates to 939 delegates.

But the more delegates Sanders can accumulate, the more he can pressure Biden -- and the party -- to the move to the far left. Some "party unity"!

[But that's not the only potential problem for the Biden presidential campaign.]

"Joe Biden’s allies are concerned that the former vice president’s campaign will not be able to compete with President Trump’s fundraising juggernaut, particularly as the COVID-19 pandemic wreaks havoc on the economy." [Read the full story from The Hill. <[link removed]> ]

As The Hill reported <[link removed]> , President Trump's 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee have a $187 million fundraising lead on Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee ... and some campaign aides are worried Biden can't catch up.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Biden has had to host online fundraisers, rather than traditional campaign fundraising events. Plus, news of and public attention paid to the 2020 campaign has been (understandably!) overshadowed by the world's response to coronavirus.

But we suspect the challenges are greater than external circumstances, as unprecedented and challenging as they are.

Since Biden made headlines for a recent donor event during which he promoted the conspiracy theory that President Trump would delay the 2020 election... Well, let's just say we can understand campaign aides' concerns.

[Yeah, the media definitely understands the concerns of everyday Americans. Sure.]

But it's hard to imagine a more inappropriate prompt for doing so than Chuck Todd's commentary on his show this weekend. The worst part? This seems to have been a planned segment as the TV screen switched over to views of city skylines, as the Daily Wire reported <[link removed]> .
