For years, Michael has been working to permanently expand the Child Tax Credit.

When it was temporarily expanded during the pandemic, it cut child poverty nearly in half and reduced hunger for families with kids by a quarter. It helped working families get by when they needed help most and made a huge difference for our kids.

But Republicans in Congress let it expire. And earlier this month, 43 Republicans in the Senate voted against helping poor kids and sank a vote to pass an expanded Child Tax Credit. JD Vance didn’t even bother to show up. 

Shameful.
