Hey,

On Thursday, once again I drove from Boston to D.C. to cast my vote for another COVID-19 relief package. And once again the package did not provide nearly enough for a nation that is suffering more than it should, because of President Trump and GOP leadership in the Senate.

This bill will deliver some critical support to small businesses, hospitals, and help ramp up more testing -- but the idea that further relief for our workers, families, states and communities is being hamstrung by Republican politics right now is beyond the pale.

Ultimately, this latest bill will help people. But it won't help nearly enough people. Incremental progress isn't enough when thousands are dying daily and millions are out of work. The next COVID-19 package must be larger. Bolder. Braver. It must provide real relief. It must meet this moment of crisis. And I will continue to fight to ensure that happens.

Be well. Be safe. Talk soon.

Joe
