   John,
The news of the last few weeks has been intense, but it’s also sparked
hope. With Vice President Kamala Harris now running for president, the
landscape at the top of the ticket has changed dramatically, and that has
implications for Democrats across the country.
Last week we joined a virtual event with climate and energy activists to
build momentum for electing climate leaders from the state house to the
White House. We’re less than 100 days out from Election Day, and it’s
inspiring to see so many people committed to the climate fight put their
heads together and get to work!
In the next couple of weeks, the party will rally behind a new
presidential nominee. We’re in a major moment of change and energy — and
   we’re feeling excited.
[ [link removed] ]If you're feeling it too, will you sign our pledge to support climate
leaders up and down the ballot?
We know it's time to come together to beat Donald Trump. Electing Trump
will mean that decades of progress toward addressing the climate crisis
will be dismantled. From the local level to the federal level, we must
elect climate leaders to move us forward in our fight for the climate.
But we don’t just need a strong presidential candidate, we need strong
climate leaders running for city councils, state legislatures, and across
all levels of local government. With new leadership and momentum at the
top of the ticket, we need to funnel this energy into local candidates
running to fight for climate action.
[ [link removed] ]Will you sign our pledge to back climate candidates all the way down
the ballot? Every vote makes a big difference and we need to take
   advantage of the momentum.
