We’re thrilled that a poll conducted by the Public Policy Institute of California found that 53% of Californians support putting Schools & Communities First so we can invest in our schools, public health facilities, and local community services!
Another recent poll that tested the initiative’s language that voters will see on the ballot in November did EVEN BETTER! That poll showed 58% of Californians supporting Schools & Communities First because now, more than ever, we need to invest in our public health, in our schools, and our students! Poll after poll shows momentum is building in support of Schools & Communities First!
We are incredibly proud of all the hard work our supporters have put in so far, even as we continue social distancing during this difficult time, but there’s lots of work left to do.
Californians support investing in the teachers, nurses, health care workers, custodial workers, and more that are powering our communities through this crisis — now let’s work together to make sure this campaign passes in November to do just that.
Thank you for helping us put California’s Schools & Communities First!

The Schools & Communities First initiative reclaims $12 billion every year for California’s schools and local communities by closing commercial property tax loopholes benefiting a fraction of corporations and wealthy investors. The initiative benefits residents and small businesses by exempting homeowners and renters from any changes while implementing new tax relief for small businesses.
