Earlier this week, at an event for conservative Christians, Trump said
this to his supporters: 

"And again, Christians, get out and vote just this time. You won’t have to
do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it’ll be fixed. It’ll be
fine. You won’t have to vote anymore."

Republicans were quick to claim Trump was joking. Some commentators online
have debated the true meaning of his comments. 

Come on. This is the same guy who tried to overturn the 2020 election. He
sent a mob to the Capitol on January 6th to stop the peaceful transfer of
power. He called for the Constitution to be suspended. He promised to be a
dictator on Day 1. One quote can be misunderstood or taken out of context.
But when someone who has a record of assaulting our democracy tells his
supporters "you won't have to vote anymore," we know what he means.  

A few days after that event, Trump did an interview with Fox where he was
given an opportunity to clarify his comments. He declined and went on a
tangent. He's dog whistling to the voters who genuinely crave a Christian
nationalist dictatorship. As dangerous as they are, we know they're in the
minority. 

We have the majority of Americans on our side, and we have the energy too.
Thousands of people have taken our pledge to do everything they can to
elect Kamala Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot including
phonebanking, texting, writing postcards, and knocking on doors using our
revolutionary Neighbor2Neighbor tool.
