Hi John,

Though we are still in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have hope in my heart we can come out of this stronger as a country and more inspired to solve big, complex problems like the climate emergency. This is a moment of pain and growth for all of us, and I believe we all have an opportunity to help put our planet on a new track. These past few weeks we’ve seen what humans on the frontlines are willing to do to address problems of unimaginable, global scale.

But we’ve also learned the power of urgency and the need for competent leadership to solve big problems. This crisis didn’t have to be this bad in the United States. In fact, I would argue the Trump administration is criminally negligent in its handling of this pandemic, from continuously downplaying the severity of the virus to ignoring early, direct warnings about what was to come. They chose not to act when action would have potentially saved tens of thousands of lives - and still could.

But I want to hear where you stand on this:

Do you approve of Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 outbreak?

[YES] [NO] >> [link removed]

Thank you,
Phil
