You know, ever since I
began speaking out about how the crypto industry should follow the same
basic rules as banks and all other financial institutions, the crypto
lobby has been pretty upset with me, and has been working to defeat me.
[ [link removed] ]If you’re fired up now to defeat these special interests like them who
are trying to buy elections and hand-pick politicians who only work for
them, please pitch in here. I’ll explain more below.
So they recruited a crypto-lawyer from Rhode Island to run against me.
He’s a self-funder who can donate $1 million to his campaign at a time.
And the crypto lobby is also pouring money into this race. Just this past
month, we found out that a Super PAC supporting my opponent raked in $2
million from three massive donations — from two crypto billionaires and
   one big crypto firm.
To put that into perspective: That’s over half a million more than our
campaign had raised in the three months prior. Just like that.
They’re hellbent on defeating me because I’m fighting for fair consumer
protections and working families instead of their bottom line. Not to
mention, defeating me in Massachusetts would virtually guarantee a
   GOP-controlled Senate.
So while those billionaires and special interests are supporting my
opponent, we need to respond with strong, grassroots support. Look, I know
for certain that our movement is stronger than theirs, but this campaign
relies on a large number of supporters pitching in a little at a time vs.
a small number of billionaires and special interests pitching in a lot at
   a time.
In the latest fundraising quarter, the average amount people donated to
our campaign was about $25. That is a sign of how we are building a
grassroots campaign. And that is exactly the type of campaign I want to
run — one that centers working people, advocates for working people, and
puts power in the hands of working people.
Thousands of supporters chipping in $25 at a time — vs. two billionaires
and one company fueling a Super PAC. I’ll take this team any day of the
week. But this type of grassroots fundraising model only works if everyone
keeps pitching in whatever they can, whenever they can.
[ [link removed] ]This is the difference between a government that works great for those
at the top and a government that can work for everyone. So
can you please pitch in $25
or anything you can right now to respond to this Super PACs funding with a
strong surge of grassroots support for my re-election campaign?

August, September, and October are some of the most critical months of an
election year — when most spending takes place. I’m relying on your
support right now so we can compete hard in this next phase of this race,
defeat these special interests, protect our Senate majority, and keep up
   our fight for working families.
Thanks for being a part of this,
   Elizabeth
